FLAME SPRAY WITH MELTING PROCESS - SF LANCE (Spray & Fuse):
This technology is the oldest spray method. The principle is powder filling of needed nature into oxygen-acetylene flame. Surface creating process has two stages:
- Powder spray on basic material
- Melting of spray by a flame which causes metallurgical joint with the basic material
This process is repeatable until required spray thickness creation.
Basic parameters of spray:
Particles velocity [m.s-1] |
Adhesion [MPa] |
Oxygen content [%] |
Porosity [%] |
Spraying output [kg.h-1] |
Typical spraying thickness [mm] |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
< 40 | < 200 | 10 | 10 ÷ 15 | 1 ÷ 10 | 0,2 ÷ 10 |

Výhody | Nevýhody |
---|---|
Simplicity and operative creation of a layer | Not suitable for larger surfaces without positioner by reason of layer uniformity |
Broad range of self-melted powder | Higher warming-up of the basic material with creation of tension and deformation possibility |
Possibility of forming thick film from added material with the thickness of a few mm | |
Possibility to produce very thin layers of added material - from 0,2 mm | |
Possibility weld on edges, small and complicated objects | |
The spray can be applied on badly accessible surfaces thanks to small size of the burner | |
High cohesion with the basic material | |
The spray is not involved by basic material | |
Undemanding base preparation | |
Applicable also for plastic powder spray |
We use for flame spray with melting process the equipment SuperJet EUTALLOY from the company Castolin(www.eutectic.com).
As added material we use mainly nickel or cobalt base powders from the company Castolin, Wirpo, which are resistant to abrasion, seizing, erosion, chemical and heat corrosion.
